To enable Speech input simply select the headphone option (illustrated below). By selecting this a red icon of a microphone should appear at the left side of your document. To input speech simply speak into your computer.
Step 1: Go to the Google webstore and search up Read&Write. From the drop down options that appear, select the logo illustrated below and select add to chrome. A notification will appear after selecting add to chrome. Simply press Add extension to ensure your selection. Read&write should now be uploaded onto your google apps. Reassure by checking whether the logo (illustrated below) appears on the top right corner of your URL bar next to the hamburger menu. Step 2: Test this app by opening up a google doc. Do this by selecting 9 squares at the top left corner of your task bar. Next open up a fresh document by simply selecting the plus button at the top left corner of your page. Step 3 : The Read&Write logo/thumbnail should appear at the top of your page. Simply press the purple icon. A new menu bar should appear (illustrated below). To input speech simply speak into your computer. Note - To change the speech input language click on the icon and select the down head arrow at the top of the now white microphone. A drop list would appear, from this select the needed language. Now when you will speak the text will appear in the chosen language. Step 4: To make the computer read your work out loud, place your cursor in front of the sentence that you want your work to be read from. Then select play option. The text to be read would be highlighted in either yellow,green,pink,or turquoise (depending on your choice). The words being read at the present will be individually highlighted in a dark blue.
